I have a 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix with about 147K on it. My ABS light, along with the "Check Tire Press" light is always on, but I check the pressure in my tires every chance I can get- and well, my tires don't need any more/less air. Just recently while driving usually above 55-60 mph my car makes a loud humming noise, which sounds like it's coming from front right of the car. While taking a hard left the noise goes away and doesn't make any noise until I either put the wheel straight or turn the wheel right. I have no knowledge of major repairs, so I can't really explain it all that well! My apologies! Also, just recently while driving, it sounded like there was a large stick under my car, sounds silly, but that's the best way to describe it! I had pulled off and shut off the car and looked under it to see if there wasn't anything under it--nothing was under. I restarted my car and I had to keep the RPM's above 1000 to keep it running! Luckily I was close to home so I drove it back, but the radio turned off a couple random times. I was told either it's an electric problem (which would make sense for the radio to quit), or something to do with my fuel pump? Please help!!

Sounds like you have a few problems. But the humming noise could be the Passenger side hub bearing, common problem on fwd GM vehicles. -------------------------------------------------------- Your only as good as your tools!

Actually sounds like driver side bearing if it goes away while turning left when you turn left a majority of your weight is on the right side so if it was right side it would make noise.. The only way to be a %100 sure is get the car on a hoist with stephascope and see if one or both bearings need to be replaced. Your other noise might be a heatshild or somthing comes loose hard to say.

Noises are funky do diag over the web but it's classic for a wheel bearing. If bad enough you'll feel it with front end hoisted. Warning - no telling if so how long it will last. If that's what you find this one should be easy as they go with air tools a near must. Should look like this if you have ABS. A tad pricey but beats an accident! T
