95 Cougar front end noise

i have a 95 Cougar xr7 4.6 v-8 that is making a clunking sound while driving coming from pass side front suspension .Only does it when going over bumps and uneven road

You need to check the ball joints, wheel bearings and tie rod ends for play. Also look at the control arm bushings to ensure they are intact. If all good, you are most likely looking at a bad strut mount
