I have a small intermittent rattle underneath the middle part of the car, between the front and rear axles. The rattle occurs most frequently at speeds above 60mph, and seems to occur when I make small turns on the highway. The rattle also seems to start on the left side of the car and "rolls" to the right side. Occasionally after the roll, the rattle ends in a small clunk.

Easy thing to rule out is a broken heat shield on exhaust parts, some pipes, muffler, catalytic converter or anywhere. Engine off just tap tail pipe and see if that makes a noise. IF so chase that with same now looking at parts for one that is loose, rusted spot welds or what. Just easy taps with rubber hammer along exhaust should duplicate the noise if so. Can do this all engine off engine cold just rule that out is easy and if nothing found go from there, T
