I just bought this car. There is a kind of pinging noise for a few minutes after the car is turned off. It sounds like it is coming from somewhere in the exhaust system. The car doesn't make any noticeable noises while running. What might be causing this?

That is just the exhaust metal shrinking as it cools down and perfectly normal.
