I have a 2003 Kia Sorento V6 3.5L 2WD with approximately 150k miles. It just recently starting making a clicking noise upon acceleration. The warmer it is the more often it's apparent. When it's cold it does it less. It starts at 2k rpm and above. It will do it continually with slight acceleration. If I want to get up and go it will stop until I decelerate to a standing speed when I have to accelerate to keep up my speed. It almost sounds like the spark you get when you set up your jumper cables and a cross between card spokes. I can't tell if it's right or left, but is apparent with windows down or windows up with radio off. The car runs fine and there is no shuttering. However a year ago I took it in to have the timing belt done and had them put in spark plugs and new wires at that time. I did bring in my own platinum plugs that make it run a little rough. Do you think it might be the plugs or another problem that may be more obvious?

So this won't do it at idle in park? That would rule out an accessory issue. Noises can be a pain to find in person, and near impossible online. I would have a shop look at it right away. It needs a trained ear in front if it to look in the right places. It could be something minor, probably something bad and expensive that will get a lot more expensive if it isn't found out quickly.
