2002 grand am rumbling when accelerating and squealing Sign In

i drive a 2002 pontiac grand am gt, 3.4 liter engine, 119,000 miles. i got new front breaks and tyrod a few months ago, and new bearings a week ago. now my car rumbles and shakes between 40mph and 50mph. it squeals, more like a kind of ringing sound, as soon as i take my foot off the break. it does not make this noise when it is still though, the car has to be moving to make the squealing noise. any ideas on what it might be?

nm i got it looked at, turns out i just forgot how loud my winter tires were (probably because i had bearings so bad i couldn't ever hear a thing) and it was just my breaks squealing.

Sounds like you need to get the tires rebalanced to fix the vibration........That would be a good time to have a trained eye take a look at your brks for you........

well i say just because it was something i intended to fix anyway. which i have... mostly. i will be taking it to a shop since the bolts on one of the breaks are welded or something and could not be torched apart by my buddy. anyways, the car hasn't made any obnoxious noises since then.
