2002 Toyota Camry LE 2.4 L 4-cylinder. 142k miles.
Car jerks forward and I can physically feel and hear a *thud* around 45mph. This happens if I coast at about 45- if I accelerate past it, no problem. Cruise control, no problem. When I take my foot off the gas anywhere above 45mph, though, it jerks again as it decelerates. No RPM issues or major hesitation.
This problem has been constant and ongoing for quite a long time, but I wasn't driving long distances so I didn't follow up. I started driving much more, and it got increasingly worse and would jerk on its own at any point.
I brought it to my friend who is a Toyota mechanic and he replaced my dogbone motor mount and the constant jerking went away, now it's back to just the 45mph problem.
I have had routine maintenance, and this is not a constant vibration but a big jerk that makes me nervous to do long distance travel.
From doing my own research, it seems like another motor mount or maybe the MAF? I know very little about either of these but if I have more direction I can check for myself. I have very little budget to take to a bigger shop. Any help is appreciated.

Have your friend check all the engine mounts...

If it has a bad mount it will break the dogbone....and if only the dogbone is replaced...it will break the new one fairly quickly
