TWO DAYS AGO, GOT INTO MY SUV, STARTED IT AND HEARD A NOISE. I NOTICED WHEN TAPPING THE BREAK THE NOISE GOT LOUDER. THE NOISE SOUNDS AS A HUMMING SOUND THAT DOES NOT SHUT OFF EVEN WHEN THE CAR IS TURNED OFF. I DISCONNECTED THE BATTERY SO THAT IT WOULD STOP AND NOT DRAIN THE BATTERY. I DON'T KNOW IF THIS HAS ANYTHING TO DO WITH IT, BUT GOT BAD GAS ABOUT TWO WEEKS PRIOR TO THIS AND CAR HAS NOT BEEN RUNNING GOOD SINCE. REALIZED THAT IT WAS BAD GAS BECAUSE 5-10 MINUTES AFTER LEAVING GAS STATION, CAR STARTED JOLTING. I IMMEDIATELY PUT IN A BOTTLE OF FUEL CLEANER, BUT IT IS STILL RUNNING THE SAME. HAVE HAD THE VEHICLE FOR ONLY A FEW MONTHS BEFORE HAVING TO REPLACE THE HYDRAULIC PUMP.

The first thing you have to learn is that there is no such thing as "mechanic in a can" Nothing that comes out of a can will fix your mechanical problem. If you truly got a bad tank of gas, then completely draining it and cleaning out the whole system is the only thing that is going to correct that and the more it's driven with bad gas, the more things become permanently damaged.

As far as I can see, you have not confirmed bad gas in the first place. You seem to be just assuming that and you can't do that.
If the check engine light has come on, then you need to have the codes read before doing anything and then you will likely need a professional to look at it and determine what it is that you are dealing with concerning that noise and the way the vehicle is running.

you just got the vehicle SO scan for cades yes even if the CEL is off. Scans are free at many auto parts stores, write them down and post them here someone will advise.

PS: before purchase did your technician notice anything when he checked vehicle out?

No, there's no "Mechanic in a can" and if so please let them out!
You called this a "humming sound" would you also say like "buzzing sound" as well?
There are only so many things that draw current or able to when vehicle is shut off one is brake lights. Are your brake lights working?
Because you said tapping on brakes made a difference knowing if they worked is a strong clue where to look next for a box (relay) that's messed up.
Relays are points inside and can buzz either bad or receiving poor info like slight voltage at a brake light switch. I'd start there as that goes on to ABS module so you probably have a warning light on when running.
I too can't see any connection with bad gas but if so and runs lousy you get codes right away so include getting those read if brake lights work that's one thing, running lousy another,

Have you isolated where the humming noise is coming from? I've seen ABS pumps stay running on those due to a faulty ABS controller.
