Year: 2000 Make: Dodge Model: Neon Engine: 2.0L 16 Valve Mileage: 109k What is the noise? To be honest, I have had the this problem with the car for months. I just coped with it until now. My car makes this loud noise coming from the back. It sounds like grinding and it becomes more loud as I speed up (noticeable around 30mph+), but I know it's not the exhaust. The car does not make the noise while still or when revving the engine in neutral. This problem is the first of its kind with this car. So I have no clue what it could possibly be. It's annoying when I'm on the highway and the person in the passenger seat has to practically yell to talk. My car is front wheel drive if that helps. Please Help. Any suggestions or help is much appreciated.

It's probably a bad wheel bearing. I wouldn't ignore it much longer or you could end up seeing your tire passing you on the highway. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

Not much else I can say. Just get it checked because it can be dangerous and you can make matters a lot worse by letting it go too long.
