Even though I posted this on my perspective car forum, i'd still like to shoot the question out here.
One day after I change my brake pads and took it for a test drive I started to hear a clunk clunk clunk. So I drove it more, hoping it would dissipate. Of course it didnt. So then I lifted it up and spun the tire. The noise sounded like it was coming from the brake caliper. So I was like, alright, time for a rebuild. So I did, and bled the system. The noise still persisted. Now im at the point where I think it might be the wheel bearing. It only makes the noise when the car is moving forward, and when I turn the wheel the noise goes away. I also noticed at high speeds theres a loud hum from that side (passenger front). So I ordered a new bearing and seal to press in.
My only question is if there is anything anyone could suggest I check also? Any kind of test to verify my issue? Its loud, annoying, and I mean a metal on metal sound is probably causing damage somewhere.

Just make sure there is nothing on the inside of the wheel contacting the caliper like a wheel weight or the wheel itself.

Two things: Clunk, and loud suggest you didn't service or replace rotors if quiet right before this. The loud humming does suggest a wheel bearing which can just go or last ages. You shouldn't have to guess at this nor would I just plain replace a wheel bearing just because suspect and it is by your description such as it's capable of going quiet right now but IMO if this is a bearing and came on this fast it will likely get much worse real soon.
The clunk could be pads not in right somehow or a rusted ring on outer surface now missing part of that ring making a clunking sound as new pads alone may not touch the rotor in the exact same spot and may need to start over with the brakes. Other things can cause noises so "measure twice and cut once" to save on wasted work and parts,

I appreciate the quick response guys. I did forget to mention that I replaced the rotors because the old ones were well out of spec. During the rebuild the seals and dust boots were serviced. Im trying to avoid that to buy a new caliper (since a new one is 300 from Toyota, and im a stickler for using OEM parts) but since I already have the wheel bearing and seal enroute ill going ahead with that. Then if this doesn't help in the least, what about possible play in the axle itself?
I do want to go on to add that when I slightly touch my brake pedal at slow speeds I can hear the pistons touching the metal anti squeal shim. I don't know it this is normal or not.
Im about to go Jack up the car and remove the wheel and watch the caliper in action on the rotor. See if I can't find anything.

Agree watching apply brake with a helper and then just slight brake action such that you can turn it back and forth with a big pry bar with lug nuts back on. Something funky is going on as this happened so soon after doing the brakes??

Well after weeks of looking I finally fixed it. What threw me off was because I can only hear the wheel on metal sound when the wheel is ON the car and im turning it. When it was just the rotor I could never hear it before.
So I put the lugs to hold the rotor in place and started to spin it. I could here a slight clicking noise coming from the top of the caliper. Then I saw it.
(Side note. The caliper design has the brake pads being held in my two pins with an anti rattle spring in between them to top the pads from sliding forward (and by forward I mean towards the front of the car))
Its either I have so much play between the pad and the anti rattle spring OR i installed it backwards. But, I turned it around, took it for a test drive and nothing. Everything was great.
I appreciate everything though! :)
