I have a 05 Pontiac Grand Prix makes a whining noise when I put it in gear. Any suggestions?

No, it's not supercharged.
It's starts whining as soon as I put it in gear.

just for fun remove the serpintine belt from the engine and see if it goes away,my guess is an idler bearing.water pump or alt.and its just more noticable when you put it in gear...good luck
