That was your first mistake. NEVER introduce air into the system intentionally. Use fluid to flush it out. Don't blow out lines with air as said. Fluid shows but no pedal unless off you have no power assist so not the time to test well. Probably start this all over may have to pressure bleed this all to get air out. ABS or not I don't think it was standard on this?
