Breaks locking up Sign In

I have a 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe with a 3.3 engine with approx. 138k miles. This morning my front breaks seemed to lock up on me but when I put my car into reverse I could move. I have never had this happen to me but the weeks leading up to this my breaks would make a wurring noise like they wear grinding on my rotors. I want to make sure I fix this right if anyone can help me would be much appreciated! Thank you

Have you first done a visual inspection of the braking components? This mean removing wheels and inspecting hardware caliper pins and pistons, brake hoses, and ect?

Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

Yes as DS said check them ALL out and periodically so you know where you are in the life of brakes and a list of things. If this car recently parked then a damp wet spell this grinding if it went away could be normal but you need to know it.
A vehicle does a lot for you, do a lot for it now 10 years and some miles time for a go thru know where you stand with it IMO and write it down,
