The wear bar on the breaks does that go on the inside or outside ?

Re: Brakes Sign In

There is no set rule for that. Some cars only create space for it on one side. Some cars have sensors on both sides. I just go with whatever way it came off.

Re: Brakes Sign In

Original idea was to put it inside, towards the rear of vehicle. No more, I find them anywhere. Do make sure it isn't too close or touching out of the box from mishandling or a mistake when made. If a problem bend it you really should be checking brake wear by inspection along the way,

Re: Brakes Sign In

What I learned years back was,
The forward rotation of the rotor must pass over the wear indicator first

With that said, a lot of aftermarket pads aren't made correctly to always accomplish this.

Re: Brakes Sign In

Same bull here! It's been a year but did all four, one of my own just acquired asked for the best. Hmmm - rotors rust can see thru the wheels is obnoxious so painted those with BBQ paint, pads out of sealed box had to file a crimp cut seam made them way too tight.

Those sensors are not the leading edge on one side as you just said will seek another source for parts if there's another time around (doubt it unless just rusted too much later) of 3 vehicles to use and short runs doesn't wear them fast still roads stink bad who knows what junk could get on them. Heck - it you see them that clearly thru wheels anything can get at them like eat a plastic bag or something?

Disappointed,

Tom
