i rolled my car before my deployment and have been looking for a new roof i have cleaned all the glass up from the windshield, i cant seem to be able to find a part number or a place that will help me order a new roof to install,

I drive a 2006 chevy cobalt has a brand new clutch and transmission in it and have been working on the engine replacing parts only 80,000 miles on the vehicle so i would like to fix it up to drive again

Pro Auto body is NOT my thing but was all around me, is a trade one needs to know basic for the others. A roof is the ultimate PITA then and bet now. Car/truck would be totaled quickly so no surprise listed parts aren't so easy.

How much of it? It involves laser exactness to meet other metals and glass plus support the vehicle properly again.
IMO, job one is get a pro to take a look as I think most would use, used parts of a whole roof that matches and end up welded in.

At least it's somewhat popular and not a frequently damaged item speaking metal itself. Get some idea from a pro shop decide if you want this part or quit now on that or the whole car? I can't know from just a busted windshield what you have to fix or toss whole roof?

Don't even think about trying to do this yourself. You may think you are going to just go slap a new roof and all is well. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Take this to an experienced auto body shop and see what he says. Don't be surprised if he tells you it is "totalled" and not repairable.
