UnsureUnsurehi again fellas..
ive just posted my thread for some painting and filling advice but i missed this important question out to keep the prior from being huge..

My Peugeot 206gti137 2002 on 73000mls failed mot just and ive started prepping the rear quarter for paint but the sill same side needs some attention so ive had the angle grinder on it and the sander and its almost ready for a patch welding in BUT??? Would i get away with filling the hole with fiberglass and resin then filler/bodge all ontop of some mesh i would suppose...then finish off with filler and paint as normal.....OR
Is the hole too big,in a structuraly important spot and vital or sensible to weld(or have someone weld it as i have no welder) or could i fill it and hide it????

The hole on the drivers sill(3 door) is approx in the middle of sill front to back length of entire hole is approx 23inches long and 5inches wide cut in a taper at each end sort of UFO(ALIENS TYPE)Shaped and all ready for welding but for the very lip at the bottom which is too far gone corroded to get a nice weld on{im assuming)?

So to sum up could i bodge this or is it vital to weld it?and if i weld is a patch enuf or would the expense of a full sill be wise??

Thankyou very much again...i hope im not upsetting anyone with my needy posts too soon or anything...sorry.
