Stinks: Nut was tack welded blind behind the lower hole gone now. IDK - see if there's anything to stop you from going straight thru that to inside and drill a larger hole there for a longer nut and bolt or the center hole not used hold a new square threaded nut and weld that holding it thru that hole.
What do you want to do fake it with hardware store stuff or this such a pest might pay a body shop so it doesn't get so bad you'll never get out of this?

Look but bet not there for an access plastic plug hole hidden inside to hold a nut also on wire or a way so you don't drop it. That looks all spot welded in that nut in the back was there before it was stuck there for speed of assembly new never mind you now don't count - suks! T
