HONDA AIRWAVE Crashed

Hello all, I had a car accident a couple of days back. And luckly I am safe and still alive.
The accident was really really bad. And the left side of my car (Honda Airwave, 2008) is almost tottaled. Both the doors, the wind screen, the rear wheel, rear (not sure about the front), the acxelll of the car, 3 alloy rims (both of the rear and one of the front left rim), the rear exel is like bent and turned towards inside. Okay now the question is, will my car be fixed? Will there be any diffrance in its drive. (The car's engine is perfect. And it still gets start) Im just worried about its chasis, if theres a bend it the chasis. Then there will defently be some change in its drive. I can provid pictured too. Thanks in advance..

We can't know the extent of the damage to your vehicle without seeing it. It could have extensive structural damage that we wouldn't know about. I suggest you get an estimate from a reputable auto body shop.

Same with Hammer - It has to be looked at in person to know. Bent "chassis" can still be straightened to specs in most cases. Can this one? Has to be appraised by a body shop AND and insurance adjuster.
Totalled is generally (if insured) the value of it as it sits now minus the damage cost to repair exceeding the value of the car if it was in good shape. We could never guess that no matter how many pics you posted,

PS: Most regulars here are not in this part of the trade but deal with it all the time with the body shops as needed for some final mechanical repairs....

I guess you didn't read what i said. The car needs to be inspected thoroughly for structural damage.

yes, I read that.. the car is gone for repairing now. it was insured though. Im just bothered wheather if it will get repaired or not.

the thing is, my dad.. hes like really mad at me. He should know all the information about it. and the insurance guy has probaly told him every thing. but I cant ask him because hes really mad at me. So thats why I asked you guys..

I get it.....you're stressin a little bit here....It's understandable.......
The axles are no big deal because they can be replaced.... As long as the frame, which should be uni-body I'm guessing, isn't twisted the it should be ok...Even it its bent, as long as it isn't twisted too bad it can be brought back and if there are any steering issues, then there are aftermarket adjusting kits that can be used...
The best thing is to talk to the body shop and find out what they think.....If its getting fixed then the repairs aren't more than the cars worth......Just talk to the shop and let them know about your concerns about handling and wind noise coming from the door jams....

Anything can be fixed. The issue will be is it worth it and the shop with insurance company. I hear your "stressing" over this and guess I would be too with another person's car big time. Let the auto body shop and insurance decide as already mentions a few times,

Thank You man! you guys are really helpful... an accident with someone elses car really is stressfull. The car was insured and I think Ill have to pay 10 % of the parts used to repair it. which I am willing to pay. but the issue is that weather the car would be back in its orignal way. like the way it was before... do you think it will because the rear acxell is tottlay gone.

We are beating a dead horse here. It can be fixed and good as it was. I've purposely purchased previously totalled cars that the shops fixed in their spare time and they were fine. Here if this accident was your fault YOU would get a higher insurance premium not the owner of the car as you were driving.
No way to know how that works place to place either as in 50 states it's all different. Relax man! Stuff happens unless you were totally being a jerk behind the wheel stuff just happens out there. Axle or not those can be fixed but this is too early so let the shop and insurance figure it out -- Tom

Yep.......calm down & breath...... You are focusing on pieces of the car that are mangled, thinking these parts need to be fixed & used again.... If it's the bad, it goes in the scrape pile & you get a new one......If it can be straightened & reused then that happens......
The only piece on this car that can't be replaced is the shell & frame & if those need replacing.......Then the car gets totalled......
Worry about things you can control......If you're 21.....go grab & beer, catch a football game & relax.... If you're under....go grab a red bull....No wait...that'll hype you out more...don't do that......grab a soda & catch a game & relax.....

Ok, you trashed your dads car. He's pissed and you have it coming. You're trying to negate the damages and its a touchy subject with him so you come to us. I have 4 kids myself, most everyone here are dads too. I can guarantee you beyond a doubt that while he is pissed about his car being totalled he is glad you are ok. You seriously scared the hell out of him when he got a phone call that his car was trashed with you in it. I know I would be if my kids called me, worse if someone other than my kids called me.
I'll tell you a story from my misbehaving past if this will put things at ease for you. I was living on a farm, so out in the sticks all kids learn how to drive early. I was driving on the road at 14. In the US you can't get your license before 16. So my mom and dad decide to leave for a night on the town when I'm 15 and figure all is good. Well my brothers and I had other plans. So I know my dad left the keys in his pickup and thanks to them I know how to drive a stick shift, something my brothers don't know how to do. The plan was to go joyriding around in dad's truck. Problem is, dash lights are unpredicatable on this old beater and I get near the next town. Not wanting to get stopped for speeding, I have my brother flick his lighter so I can read the speedometer. It says 75. Look up and right in front of me is a sign showing a 25mph sharp left curve. So I lock up the brakes, crank the wheel and my dad's only work truck rolls over. No seat belt so as I bounce around the cab on my brothers, my left knee smashes through the windshield. Tried to get out of there but cops got me. Took me the the house. So as my parents are getting back from a nice night out they find out that I totaled his truck which had nothing more than liability insurance on it, and his son is being arrested for it. He was mad about the truck, but what bothered him the most was how scared he was for what could've happened to me. He never complained about the cost of the reconstructive surgery to my knee, which is never going to be right again. He got the cops off my back for it too. He was so pissed that night and for weeks after that I didn't dare mention the truck. Actually took until he was on his deathbed that he was joking about it.
Your dad doesn't like this inconvenience. He's pissed that this was avoidable and is going to cost him money through no fault of his own. But he's glad he has you safe and you scared the hell out of him.
Tread lightly for a bit and royally kiss his ass. When he gets the next car don't ask to use it, but make sure every weekend he catches you in the driveway washing it by hand and polishing the interior.
One of these days you're going to laugh about this, trust me. Its just not going to be anytime soon.
