2000 Ford Windstar Driver side door mirror only moves 3 directions Can't Post

2000
Ford
Windstar

The mirror on my driver door will go up , down , and left but not right. I tried pushing it right with my hand as far as it will go to see if something would catch, no luck. The passenger mirror goes 4 ways fine with the same switch.
Does this mean its a mirror problem not a switch problem?

With no electrical tests performed it means absolutely nothing. You know which direction it won't move, yet haven't pinned for power. By the fact the motor does move I would suspect the switch but unless confirmed bad by a meter you may be wasting money.

I would suspect switch also. It's a reverse polarity motor that you have verified works in one direction so it's likely the switch isn't reversing polarity.

pinned for power......... Not sure what that means, but I think I'm going to go with the switch :) Thanks !

Should be easy enough to test it for reversing polarity for that mirror. Calling it "pinning" to me means poking wires or inserting a pin that can contact the connections at an item/connection to test for power and ground,

You can't jump power to is as long as it's plugged into the switch because one or both wires rest at ground.

New switch came today, and now my mirror works in all directions on both sides just fine :) And easy to plug in too!

Thanks for posting the fix. Other people do look at older posts and seeing what worked for others helps them. Hope to see you back next time the van is acting up.
